ABOUT SISAL FIBER:
“Sisal” refers to a Mexican agave plant (Agave sisalana) with large fleshy leaves, cultivated for fiber production. It also refers to the fiber extracted from the sisal plant’s leaves. Sisal is native to southern Mexico, but widely cultivated and naturalized in many other countries. Sisal fiber is traditionally used to make rope and twine, and has many other uses, including paper, cloth, footwear, hats, bags, carpets, brushes, and matting.
Sisal bristles are durable. They are also salt and alkali resistant. They resist high temperatures and have strong decontamination ability. They are tough and abrasion-resistant. Sisal brush bristles are moderately soft.
