Have you grown some flax in your garden and spun it into linen thread? Have you shorn the sheep on your homestead and spun their fleece into yarn?
Or maybe you’ve bought some yarn at your local General Store, or the Craftsteading Store.
Now you can sit my the fireside (in winter) or out on the porch (in summer) using your home-made wooden frame loom to weave cloth.
It’s easy to assemble the four sides of the frame. And when you’ve done it, you can transform your frame into a loom in any of 3 ways:
- Hammer short nails at regular intervals along the top and bottom of the wooden frame loom
- Cut notches at regular intervals along the top and bottom of the loom, as for this cardboard loom
- Simply wind your warp around the frame with no nails or pegs or notches, according to the instructions in these videos:
