These round Lotus Seed beads are naturally adorned with their own beautiful moon pattern. Natural dried seeds of the lotus plant, Nelumbo, have been shaped into round beads, with a hole drilled through the middle so that you can use them to make your own botanical jewelry – necklaces, bracelets, etc. Various sizes of beads available, each strand 108+6 beads.
About lotus bodhi seeds
Lotus seeds are significant in many parts of Asia and the Indian subcontinent, in everything from religion to medicine to food. The lotus flower has enormous importance in Tibetan Buddhism. Many gods and goddesses are shown seated on lotus flowers, or in some cases, such as Padmasambhava (The Lotus Born), having arisen from Lotus Flowers. The lotus plant is esteemed for being pristine and beautiful, having grown from the mud of a swamp. This is a metaphor for the Buddha Nature: from the darkness of confusion, the brightness of an awakened heart can be born.

NOTE: Our lotus bodhi seeds are 100% natural. It is easy to distinguish them from some fake bodhi seeds on the market. The fake ones have very neat patterns and uniform colors. If you break a fake one apart and look inside, you’ll see consistent color. If you hold a flame to it, you will smell plastic… you’ll easily spot the difference!
