Rattan comes in several forms, depending on how people process it. This type of rattan is often called “cane”. Cane is the rattan vine’s skin, or peel. It is flat, in contrast to “rattan core”, which is round.  Woven rattan cane, can often be found as an accent on rattan furniture.  Cane is a sustainable product, recyclable and compostable.

This top grade natural rattan cane comes from Indonesia. It can also be used to weave components of furniture, chairs,  lamp shades and tables.
